Metro Detroit: Roseville’s World’s End Craft Burger Bar

When I am out showing houses, sometimes Teresa will join me when she can detach from her phone and computer. While I am driving, and in the houses doing my thing, she’s on her phone Googling to find a cool or unique location for us to stop for some food or drinks near where we are going. I will admit that with this one she outdid herself. She programmed the GPS to just give me directions. I had no idea until we were pulling in where we were going. We were in Roseville, so the options for places we’ve never been to before were endless, since it is not a city that we find ourselves dining out in regularly. Our destination? The World’s End Craft Burger Bar…she literally had me at BURGER! It sort of has a dive bar feel . . . but may not be considered a dive bar. Of course, as we always do when we can, we sat at the bar. There were some guys who were clearly “regulars”, sitting near us, and just their banter was worth the price of admission.

Before we get into the food, here is a little background on the place: In 2018 the father and son duo of Brian and Niko Drozdowskis purchased Pub Froggy, on 13 Mile just west of Groesbeck, and opened what is now The Worlds End Craft Burger Bar. They were looking to bring something new and exciting to the area and when they saw Pub Froggy was for sale they jumped on it. They painted, added new carpet and removed the pool tables and dart boards giving the place a fresh look. According to an article in the Macomb Daily from 2018

The World’s End has three core values:

  1. Going green – limiting the use of plastic and Styrofoam

  2. Community-oriented service, such as a cleaning up 13 Mile Road and

  3. Supporting local businesses to boost the economy. Now we love them even more!

Now let’s talk about the important stuff, the food and drink. Since it’s a burger bar, of course they have a good selection of burgers. The menu features 11 hand craft burgers, which you can get in a 1/4lb or 1/2 lb, and build your own burgers option with 9 different choices of portion including Kobe beef. All burgers come with fries and baked beans when they have them. They also have a wide variety of other sandwich selections including 5 different chicken sandwiches, a grilled Mac N Cheese sandwich, a fried bologna and fried Spam sandwich. They also serve wings, chicken tenders, and other great bar items as well as daily specials. There is a Sunday special that is a chicken on a biscuit with bacon and sausage gravy that we are going to have to try, it looks delicious.

We had the fried mushrooms and split the Rapture Burger which is a ½ lb burger (perfectly cooked to order, we like a nice medium rare) topped with fried country bacon, aged white cheddar, onion straws and whiskey bacon onion jam served on a pretzel bun. When we were there they had 16 Michigan beers on tap, plus a couple big brewery selections as well as a full bar. They also have milkshakes and Boozy milkshakes available.

They have a big banquet sized room in the back, perfect for a small party, tons of board games available for playing with groups, and also offer trivia nights on Thursdays. If we lived closer to this place, we would go here all the time! If you are ever even remotely near Roseville, and/or love a good bar burger, make sure you stop here! I’m betting you will see those guys at the end of the bar! Definitely a huge unexpected surprise his week.

We hope you stop by! Until next time, live well, eat well and enjoy life!
